Position Summary

Reporting to the Web Content Director in the Web department, the Web Content Developer will develop and execute measurable web content, social media and online marketing initiatives for 92nd Street Y. The position will also work closely with the Senior Web Content Developer, Web Editor, Web Designers and Web Project Team assisting in web updates as well as liaise with the marketing and program staff to contribute to future web updates, enhancements and external outreach.

Essential Functions

• Develop internal and external online marketing campaigns for web and social media.
•Develop effective web content for a variety of online markets, including producing and editing online video and podcasts.
•Write traffic-driving content for 92Y blog, social media and websites on a daily basis. This includes postings, interviews with upcoming speakers, etc.
•Organize and execute email promotion campaigns and search engine marketing.
•Manage alliances with third-party partners with web presences.
•Monitor 92Y’s social media channels.
•Setup and monitor live webcasts of 92Y programs through Livestream and other delivery methods.
•Liaise with marketing staff to enhance marketing promotions and initiatives.
•Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills and Experience Required

•At least four years in online marketing, social media and web content development and maintenance.
•Must possess sales-oriented approach to online marketing.
•Solid web editorial and/or copywriting experience.
•Thorough understanding of and interest in social media, search engine optimization, viral marketing, blogs, streaming media, online community development, ecommerce, information architecture and web design.
•Knowledge of HTML a must. Desired experience in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, content management and digital asset management, motion graphics, and audio editing software.

Hours of Work

40 hours per week, with a 1-hour meal break. Monday-Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. Flexibility in scheduling is required to accommodate varying production schedules.
