The Integrated Marketing department of HarperCollins Children’s Books seeks an Associate Director OR Director of Integrated Marketing Operations to direct all aspects of advertising, promotions, and departmental procedures, while managing a talented team and working under the supervision of the Senior Director of Integrated Marketing and Operations.

Job Responsibilities:
• Act as primary liaison between Integrated Marketing department and Sales and Managing Editorial departments while also effectively managing communications with Editorial, Design, and Digital Marketing departments.
• Provide direction and oversight for all print and digital advertising efforts, including maintaining agency relationships, negotiating contracts, identifying new media platforms and opportunities, analyzing results, optimizing campaigns, and advising individual marketing teams.
• Plan and manage all internal marketing and sales meetings on a seasonal basis, including coordinating attendees, setting agendas, overseeing materials, and arranging all other aspects of meeting execution with oversight from Senior Director.
• Plan and execute division’s presence and promotions at annual BookExpo America trade show as well as at consumer conferences, including RT Booklovers’ Convention, San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, and regional literary festivals.
• Manage scheduling and routing processes for all print and digital marketing materials, including displays, event kits, posters, giveaway items, downloadables, social media graphics, teaching resources, sales materials, etc., to deliver all items efficiently and on schedule.
• Foster vendor relationships, establish new vendor opportunities, and negotiate vendor rates.
• Oversee ordering, mailings, and delivery of all advance publication galleys, F&Gs, and jacket proofs.
• Manage projects and team members with a high degree of cooperation, collaboration, motivation, and enthusiasm, as well as a capacity to follow up with key stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor Integrated Marketing Operations/ Advertising & Promotion team.

Job Requirements:
• 7-10 years of marketing experience
• Experience managing direct-report staff members
• Experience and expertise in project management
• Trade publishing, advertising agency, or trade show background preferred along with a keen interest in children’s books
• Exemplary writing and communication skills
• Talent at handling competing priorities under pressure while maintaining a sense of humor
• Ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with vendors, agencies, and colleagues
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-conscious
• Flexible, resourceful, and innovative with a proven facility to offer creative solutions and be open to new ideas and responsibilities in response to an evolving marketplace
• Propensity for being a team player in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Eye for effective design aesthetic and strong copyediting skills
• Expertise in Microsoft Office
• Must possess a college degree or equivalent work experience
