Position Summary:

The Sales Director will focus on direct sales to select clients and agencies as well as working with our ad network partners to grow their business.
We are looking for someone with a big business mind and an entrepreneurial attitude who can display an unusual amount of initiative and who has strong knowledge of digital products.

Responsibilities include:

-Report to and work closely with the SVP of Sales
-Be responsible for specific ad agencies and all their accounts
-Build relationships and grow revenue from our ad network partners
-Drive online advertising revenue, meeting and exceeding goals
-Prospect, cold call and building relationships is a must
-Generate RFPs and submit proposals to close business
-Strategize with clients and agency’s to create strategic solutions to their individual needs
-Manage and grow existing client base
-Develop new business through own network of contacts
-Occasional travel and entertaining throughout designated territory
-Generate "big ideas" for new advertising possibilities across all our sites
-Be both strategic and tactical
-Accountable for properly projecting and achieving digital advertising revenue

Position Qualifications:

-The ideal candidate will be experienced, talented and well-liked in the industry with a wide range of industry contacts and a proven ability to generate revenue
-At least 3 years of experience in digital media at an ad network, agency or Publisher
-Attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills
-Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
-Must be able to sell conceptual, multi-faceted and lucrative ad programs
-Excellent closing and negotiation skills with an ability to adapt to change in a fast paced atmosphere
-BA/BS degree a required
-In-depth knowledge of media industry
-Administer and manage latest reporting and forecasting of all digital advertising sales efforts
-Ability to respond precisely and timely to senior management’s request for information
-Develop positive relationships at all level of clients and agency’s
-Work closely with SVP of Sales to develop sales strategy and plan to aggressively grow advertising revenue
-Strong knowledge of DART, Atlas, Mediamind, comScore and DoubleClick is a preferred
