The Director of Ad Operations manages a global team of Ad Operations professionals, supporting a large volume of complex and varied campaign launches, troubleshooting and execution across a number of platforms, partners and technologies. The Director of Ad Operations will report to the VP of Media and will work cross functionally with executives and members of Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Sales Ops and Research.


•Oversight of a large, high volume production team responsible for ad trafficking and campaign needs across North America and Europe
•Provide strong, positive leadership to growing team, while solving for larger dept and organization’s needs, strategy and goals
•Be a visible, vocal and supportive face within and beyond the organization
•Continually iterate and improve our QA process and outputs, while also improving our turnaround and SLA’s with Sales
•Identify, prioritize and influence product road map needs and bug fixes with Product, Product Marketing and Engineering teams
•Resource and structure performance management with geographically distributed team
•Provide proactive communication to Sales teams on campaign needs, vendor issues
•Maintain strong knowledge of proprietary systems, external partner platforms and larger industry ecosphere


•Experience managing high scale, high service AdOps groups
•Proven success adapting and growing teams, skill sets and solutions to ever changing marketplace
•Strong command of ad-serving technologies and ad-servers - DFA/DFP, Atlas, MediaMind, MRAID, VPAID/VAST, ADX, OpenX, AppNexus
•Strong experience with rich media, data and measurement vendors - DART, MediaMind, Atlas, Innovid, Mixpo, BlueKai, eXelate, DataLogix, comScore, Nielsen, Quantcast, Google Analytics
•Advanced understanding of HTML, javascript, flash, JSON, action script and IAB definitions
•Deep understanding of the ad technology ecosphere, including familiarity with ad exchanges, ad networks, DSP’s, SSP’s
•Strong network within the greater ad tech industry - publishers, agencies, IAB
•Strong knowledge of ticketing systems, productivity enhancements and work flow optimizations
•Passion for growing team members, scaling teams and reinventing processes
•Innate need to support high performing/high demand sales organizations
•Proven ability to recruit, interview, train and manage both individual contributors and managers
•Ability to influence both senior decision makers, as well as junior members of cross-functional teams
•Ability to model data in excel (pivot tables, v/h lookups, keyboard shortcuts, macros)
•Ability to collaborate and communicate inter/intra department, to CEO level, and with outside ad and data partners
•Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to cater message, response, and tone to audience well.
•Strong interest in being a team player and in continually learning
•10 years ad operations experience
•6 years managing teams
