Strategic Partnerships and Events Manager, W

 

Overview/Purpose

W is seeking a Strategic Partnerships and Events Manager to work in our Integrated Marketing Department. The overall goal of the Strategic Partnerships and Events Manager position is to identify sponsorship opportunities that align the W Brand and its client partners with high-profile events and promotions as well as execution of special events.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the integrated marketing and sales teams to create unique event concepts for client partners
  • Seek out opportunities for complimentary brand partners including charities, associations, brand ambassadors and other happenings in key markets to include in added value programs
  • Manage the execution of all aspects of event production from inception to completion
  • Manage advertiser participation in W signature events
  • Manage budgets related to promotional/merchandising programs
  • Negotiate contracts with third party vendors and oversee their participation in events
  • Operate with a superior level of client service in all client facing communication

 Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong writing and creative thinking abilities
  • Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Awareness of current culture as it relates to the brands and relevant promotional opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • At least three (3) years of event experience or related experience in PR and marketing
