The College Board, the national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Social Media & Digital Content Associate for the SAT®. This position is based out of the New York, NY office

POSITION SUMMARY

The Social Media & Digital Content Lead is responsible for creating/sourcing, trafficking, deploying and tracking content for social media, blogs, etc., on behalf of the SAT Program. This position is resident in the College Board’s New York office.

This role will support proactive outreach and social media initiatives related to the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT Assessment Programs and aligned with organizational priorities and the assessment division. The Director must be a focused, highly detail oriented, hands-on individual with experience in managing content and processes.

The position will work closely with program staff, internal service units, external agencies and vendors as well as Legal and Communications staff to ensure efforts are effectively translated into action. Writing responsibilities may include developing social media content on demand and on deadline. Additional responsibilities include reviewing relevant websites for related or complementary content that can be leveraged and promoted via SAT Program channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

*Develop deep, thorough knowledge of required subject matter
*Take on a lead role in the development and launch of SAT social media properties
*Based on direction from manager, develop editorial calendar to support SAT social media outreach
*Write ad hoc postings with timely and relevant content designed to increase followers and engagement
*Engage in social media “listening” and collaborate with SAT Program staff to refine editorial calendar and determine need for ad hoc posts
*Manage and traffic content through necessary approval channels
*Use available resources to determine appropriate metrics and create regular reporting for social media efforts
*Support and streamline the editing process
*Load approved content into social media content publisher for posting, including scheduling, tags, geo-targeting, etc.
*Catalog usage of all content (channel, date, time)
*Work across internal stakeholders to leverage appropriate content from other groups for SAT social media
*Conduct daily (minimum) reviews of appropriate websites and social channels for complementary and relevant content
*Become key point of contact for Customer Service support and escalate as necessary within SAT Program
*Collaborate with College Board marketing resources to determine effective promotion plans for social properties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*Bachelor’s degree required.
*5 years in managing and delivering social media content and results based on specified requirements
*Background in web writing, marketing, edting, communications preferred; strong understanding of content marketing required

Related Skills & Other Requirements:

*Outstanding professional writing and verbal communication skills
*Thorough knowledge of HootSuite social media management and publishing system; preferred knowledge of Simply Measured
*Ability to understand and interest in dealing with complex, nuanced subject matter
*Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work across functional areas
- A “get things done” attitude and proven execution skills.
- Professional usage of digital tools such as blogs, social media and digital networking
- Interest in working for a mission-oriented, not-for-profit company dedicated to improving the education system in the United States.
- Basic project management skills
- Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications
