The Academic Marketing department seeks a Marketing Coordinator to provide support in the global marketing of books in the social sciences. The primary responsibilities in this position will be generating promotional materials, executing planned marketing activities, growing and maintaining our database of contacts for email marketing through directed research, and creating and updating website content and promotions. There will be some involvement in social media, such as Twitter and Facebook. This role will also be integral in maintaining author relations and will work closely with colleagues in marketing, sales, publicity, and editorial.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working in an office environment, ideally in publishing, marketing, or publicity as well as a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent. S/he should possess strong communication skills, be highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to take initiative. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is expected. Previous experience with social media and web CMS are desired.
