This position will help lead and implement Diversion Books' marketing, outreach, and promotion efforts. This candidate will be responsible for creating individualized marketing strategies and working directly with authors, as well as catalog-wide promotions and ongoing backlist marketing.

Responsibilities include:

Marketing Plans and Campaigns
•Create and implement marketing strategies for Diversion authors
•Pitching of titles and content for retail merchandising and review coverage

Social Media Marketing
•Manage Diversion's social media outlets and create ways to further audience engagement
•Continually assist Diversion authors in social media efforts
•Create innovative ways to further engage readers through social media channels and online communities

Advertising
•Implement and analyze strategic advertising
•Write web copy, work with design team and optimize for sites

Qualifications: ?
•Requires a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in related field a plus;
•3-5 years experience in a marketing, advertising or promotion role, preferably in or related to the publishing industry
•Experience with email and social media marketing
•Comfort and familiarity with publicity planning and execution
•Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing campaigns

•Strong leadership skills
•Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment; must be able to maintain a high level of responsibility; strong attention to detail and follow-through a must.
•Excellent organization and project planning skills with flexibility and openness to new ideas
•Excellent communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a tight-knit team; ability to confidently and professionally approach issues of individual title and "big-picture" marketing strategy
•Excellent command of Microsoft Office and online networking
•Knowledge of and familiarity with the eBook landscape a plus
•Interest in fiction, especially genre fiction, a plus
