Responsibilities
Develop strategic partnerships within the media industry, including content provider service companies (Netflix, Hulu, DirecTV, M-Go, etc.), software publishers, mobile op systems and other synergy and corporate alliance partners in order to drive incremental revenue initiatives
• Achieve or exceed assigned new business development and revenue goals for fiscal year of $10 million in OI revenue
• Independently devise strategic plan to generate incremental revenue streams
• Develop, manage and communicate business plans for new opportunities from ideation to execution; responsible for securing approval of plans, working with executive management, business affairs, legal and finance as appropriate
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to enhance our position in the marketplace
• Form strategic alliances and partnerships within DCP and WDC Divisions for synergistic bundling, custom publications and sales resulting in additional revenue streams
• Manage day-to-day licensee business and relationship
• Manage product development process and protocols by collaborating with internal departments as necessary to meet launch deadlines
• Independently manage quarterly forecasting, accrual, budget reviews and play key role in strategic planning
• Position reports to Senior Manager, Emerging Business
Basic Qualifications
A results oriented person with 5+ years overall sales and business development experience
• 5+ years experience and deep understanding of digital-media, software, interactive and online business models, technologies, consumer trends and media platforms
• Proven track record of success in developing and closing deals with ability to be creative in business model approach
• Extensive negotiation experience, including comfort with legal aspects of negotiations
• Strong business/corporate acumen, written and verbal communication skills with comfort communicating with internal and external senior management
• Strategic thinker capable of driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with large, complex organizations a plus but not required
