Position Summary
The Advertising Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the National Advertising Manager and the Director of Advertising in the execution of integrated advertising plans and daily administrative needs.

Position Functions
• Coordinate sales and partnership agreements between clients and various internal departments
• Service and assist with client requests; track and update sales information as needed
• Assist the National Advertising Manager on fulfillment of partnership agreements
• Input insertion orders into internal database, track competitive reports and editorial credits
• Provide administrative support to National Advertising Manager and Director of Advertising
• Support events team at Washingtonian Media events as related to national partnerships
• Prepare weekly sales reports for Director of Advertising on all Washingtonian Media publications
• Prepare media kits and maintain substantial agency/client contact database
• Tag and send issues to client/agency contacts
• Update/maintain complimentary subscriptions
• Become proficient with all Washingtonian Media internal online resources
Required Skills
• Ability to handle many tasks at once in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot and prioritize workload
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Candidate should be smart, motivated, personable and detail-oriented
• Bachelor's degree is required. Microsoft Office skills, proficiency in PPT and Excel are required.
