InkWell Management is looking for a full-time royalty and accounting assistant to begin January 15th 2014. The assistant will process incoming royalty statements by providing a detailed review of each author statement, enter royalty data into our database, scan files as needed, circulate statements for review, and distribute semi-annual statements and payments to our clients. Additionally, the assistant will follow up on unpaid or underpaid royalties with publishers, track and enter client expense data, and assist with bookkeeping, vendor orders and file management.

Applicants must be articulate, enthusiastic, and hold a high level of interest in accounting within the publishing field. Prior experience with publishing royalties is not required, as training will be provided. Strong analytical, MS Excel, and computer skills are necessary. The ideal candidate should be motivated, quick-thinking, detail-oriented and thorough in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. The individual must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, with and without direct supervision. Advanced knowledge and familiarity with BAITS and QuickBooks software is a plus.
