The Account Supervisor is responsible for owning a piece of the client’s business. This role will manage several projects at one time and begins to lead client thinking.

Key Accountabilities

* Possesses and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the dynamics and workings of the client’s business

* Demonstrates knowledge of the overall competitive landscape and a complete understanding of client and Agency operations

* Builds and manages the client’s business through recommending, fostering, creating and delivering effective marketing strategies

* Works with other Agency departments to develop effective strategies and creative briefs

* Challenges direction or the status quo, and seeks alternative perspectives and approaches in developing effective marketing strategies

* Creates, writes and presents agency POV’s and responses, and encourages clients to use agency POV’s in developing ideas and advertising that best meets their objectives

* Leads client meetings and performs periodic client reviews

* Participates in the presentation and sale of creative and media plans

* Evaluates the input and ideas of creative, media and strategic planning relative to strategy and client preferences

* Manages entire production process and all budgets of their business

* Advocates their business internally and keeps the agency team informed, focused, and motivated

* Actively works to grow and develop the skills and abilities of junior Agency staff


- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field preferred

- 5+ years marketing or advertising experience required

- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary

- Effective conflict resolution skills required

- Ability to understand and manage client politics/client perspective to understand ripple effect

- Ability to write creative brief including recommendation for main thought

- Solid understanding of media

- Strong understanding of marketing disciplines as options

- Ability to challenge direction appropriately

- Demonstrated financial skills in order to be responsible for estimates on projects, track budgets and communicate status
