Our Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the execution and successful delivery of interactive, web-based projects. He/she must have a thorough understanding of how to develop and deliver Web-based work including, web sites & software applications, and rich media work such as Flash-based technologies. The SPM partners with account service to develop a thorough knowledge of our client's business.

The SPM ensures that agency process and quality control requirements are met, so the final product is delivered on time, on budget and meets the delivery expectations of the client. The SPM facilitates collaboration and team-building among project team members and stakeholders, often on multiple, large, and complex projects. The SPM relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

* Works with team members to create and update accurate and complete job scope and specification documents
* Develops and updates schedules for each project throughout the 5 phase workflow:

1. Initiation, Discovery and Planning
2. Development
3. Production
4. Delivery and Deployment
5. Maintenance and Hosting

* Creates estimates for each project throughout the 5 phase workflow
* Partners with Resource Managers to ensure proper allocation of internal agency resources
* Handles vendor resource management and purchase orders
* Initiates internal creative reviews
* Creates contact reports for internal team/project meetings
* Works with Creatives and Account Service to make changes to project scope
* Initiates and directs pre-pro with the client (with account service present), agency and vendors to produce the jobs production requirements
* Monitors daily work progress, and hard costs throughout the agency workflow process
* Ensures internal deadlines are met and communicates schedule revisions to the team
* Manages client deadlines through Account Service
* Monitors the budget and handles the financial maintenance of each project, raises financial issues to the appropriate managers and facilitates financial paperwork concerning project investment forms, change orders, and/or write-off forms

* Develops client product and project knowledge to properly support the needs of the account team
* Ensures that client approvals are provided before agency time and costs are incurred
* Acts as a technical consultant providing options to account service, creative and the client throughout workflow phases
* Researches and shares technical/production information/experience with members of the team
* Communicates effectively with agency team members and the client on issues affecting the quality of the job
* Monitors work-in-progress against job specifications, and controls scope creep throughout the process to eliminate surprises and successfully deliver the work
* Balances the best interest of the agency with demands and imperatives from the client
* Follows through on all client changes and comments through the Delivery Phase to ensure they are implemented

* Collaborates with team members to create estimates for agency work
* Verifies that estimates are financially correct, and contain properly identified scope of work, limitations and usage rights
* Monitors costs in partnership with Account Service. Manages work in progress changes and renegotiates costs to comply with approved estimates
* Communicates budget expectations with team members by providing regular updates
* Ensures compliance with client production related contract terms
* Communicates scope changes and budget implications to the account service. Obtains appropriate approvals from account service when scope changes exceed the approved budget

Job Requirements
* Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with agency team and the client
* Must be self-motivated and willing to work extra hours at inconvenient times as the job requires
* Must exhibit keen attention to detail, have strong organizational skills, and general-business skills
* Can handle multiple priorities with competence.

Education / Experience
* 4 Year College degree in Business, Marketing/Advertising, Project Management or related field
* 2-4 years working in the advertising industry or related field; 4-6 years of technical project management experience

Computer Skills
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel and Outlook
* Knowledge of MS Project
* Knowledge of e-mail/scheduling software applications
* Working familiarity with photo/image editing software such as Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc.
* An understanding of web programming languages, methods, and procedures.
