Summary of Position

Manage cross-divisional initiatives strategy and logistics for editorial events from beginning to launch. Work closely with senior Communications/ Marketing management on integrated Marketing-Communications awareness plans. Identify unresolved issues and bring them to the attention of Cross-Platform Chairman and SVP Communications.


Manage flow of information among divisions for cross-divisional initiatives, including NG Core, Travel, Kids, TV, Channel, Missions, Marketing and Communications. Follow up as needed between meetings to make sure next steps are followed.

Work closely with Communications-Marketing management and CP chairperson on strategic marketing/PR campaigns to maximize media coverage and consumer engagement in events. Facilitate coordinated launch dates across platforms for greatest impact. Project manage assigned events.

Monitor progress of CP events division-by-division identifying unresolved issues; consult with Cross Platform Chairman on status, strategy and solutions.

Synthesize complex issues and potential events in documents for task force and senior management.

Craft agenda, send out notices, arrange for room, prepare materials for editorial cross-platform meetings; run CP meetings. Create, update and distribute master calendars. Prepare powerpoint presentations, as needed.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.

Four to five years experience in Marketing or PR with excellent writing skills, understanding of the workings of a media company and proven track record handling multiple projects simultaneously. Experience running meetings efficiently.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills, including good listening and diplomacy skills; strong commercial sensibility; creative and resourceful; highly organized. Powerpoint and Keynote experience helpful.
