We are seeking a Managing Director to lead Acura for Mullen/Los Angeles.The Managing Director will be responsible for all aspects of Acura in Los Angeles including client service, talent management, financial performance, and the general oversight of all client deliverables. This role will oversee planning and execution of high-quality ideas and campaigns to meet business objectives, grow, existing business and manage and cultivate staff. To be considered for this position, candidates should have 15+ years of marquee/ national agency experience in a senior-level role, preferable with automotive experience, along with business development, people leadership and financial management, as well as excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.   • Develop the annual strategic plan for the office; owns and delivers overarching office initiatives/goals
  • Responsible for driving key business initiatives and solutions in an ever-evolving service offering
  • Delivers the target margin %, works closely with Finance to accurately forecast and monitor the financial growth and success of the office, and in turn, the region and agency. This includes the preparation of short-term and long-range departmental plans and budgets based on the corporate goals, growth objectives and strategy.
  • Works with team to establish effective pricing and staffing levels for Acura; monitors P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Evaluates and reports the results of overall operations regularly
  • Ensures open and fluid communication and builds community across all disciplines and account teams - Builds and develops the next generation of leaders in the agency
  • Manages the overall professional development for the Client Engagement management team members and works with discipline leads and Human Resources to develop and execute staffing plans to ensure each department is positioned for success
  • Empowers client account leads to make effective decisions to ensure smooth operations on account teams
  • Serves as a key voice for Mullen/Los Angeles and will be reporting directly to the agency President

  • Four-year degree is required, MBA is preferred
  • 15+ years' experience in an agency environment at marquee agencies working on national clients
  • Prior automotive experience working in creatively-driven agencies is strongly preferred
  • Must be performance-driven, client-centric, street smart, and nothing short of amazing in front of clients and prospects
