We need a superstar account director and leader for our Client Services and Strategy team, focused on developing, implementing and growing strategic content marketing programs, maintaining loyal relationships with our clients nationwide, and helping to build and support a team of high performers. This position is based in our Washington, D.C. office.

As the expert marketing partner with our clients and the liaison with content marketing, interactive and video teams, you will understand the client’s overall marketing plan, be a creative, client-focused problem solver, an effective relationship builder and a strong communicator. You will be knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the company’s business, so you can help them develop sound, measurable strategies to grow their business.

You will understand your client’s goals, articulate these goals throughout the organization, and develop and execute integrated content marketing strategies that deliver on these goals. A firm understanding of all marketing channels, strategies and tactics is a must and consultative sales experience is a plus. The ideal person will enjoy a combination of strategic consulting and consultative sales, delivering account penetration that strengthens our client relationships.

Since this position is highly collaborative, you enjoy teamwork. You also have a track record of success managing high-performance teams, motivating, engaging, trouble-shooting and bringing out the best in individual staff members. A positive attitude and a sense of entrepreneurship are part of who you are. With solid negotiation, presentation and written communication skills, you have the ability to convey your message in a compelling manner. At the same time, you are organized, attend to the details and provide a positive role model to your staff and others throughout the company. This position is held accountable for the success of their staff, and you have the track record to prove you've done that.

Requirements:

10-15 years in client services, consultative sales, marketing or related area; at least 5 years of management
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or a communications or related field
Approximately 35% national travel required
Management experience required
