Looking for an entry-level public relations job where you get to do a little bit of everything? We work with a variety of clients including arts organizations, non-profits and corporations. At Scott Circle, there is always an opportunity to work on a variety of high profile, challenging and fun projects.

We are looking for someone who is a news junkie but also highly professional, diligent and responsible with a combination of common sense, flexibility and a great sense of humor. She/He will be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, working both independently and collaboratively to meet expectations and deadlines. Strong organizational skills are a must, as is an ability to get the job done. In addition, ideal candidate will be able to recognize emerging, unexpected needs quickly and address them appropriately, either independently or with colleagues.


Manage administrative tasks for the office
Maintain and create media lists and editorial calendars
Maintain and create media clips for clients
Database management
Assist with event planning activities including staffing events, working with caterers, printers and other vendors
Create targeted media lists for broadcast, radio, print and online outlets
Write and edit media materials such as media alerts, fact sheets, bios and case studies
Various administrative duties, as assigned


B.A./B.S. in public relations, journalism or related discipline
Entry level, however internships in public relations are a requirement
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general Internet and e-mail
Ability to handle multiple projects at once
Excellent communications skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, motivated and able to “hit the ground running”
Ability to work independently and take initiative
