Public Relations Coordinator

She/He will be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, working both independently and collaboratively to meet expectations and deadlines. Strong organizational skills are a must, as is an ability to get the job done. In addition, ideal candidate will be able to recognize emerging, unexpected needs quickly and address them appropriately, either independently or with colleagues.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage administrative tasks for the officeMaintain and create media lists and editorial calendarsMaintain and create media clips for clientsDatabase managementResearchAssist with event planning activities including staffing events, working with caterers, printers and other vendorsCreate targeted media lists for broadcast, radio, print and online outletsWrite and edit media materials such as media alerts, fact sheets, bios and case studiesVarious administrative duties, as assignedREQUIREMENTS:B.A./B.S. in public relations, journalism or related disciplineEntry level, however internships in public relations are a requirementKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general Internet and e-mailAbility to handle multiple projects at onceExcellent communications skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)Must be highly organized, detail oriented, motivated and able to “hit the ground running”Ability to work independently and take initiativePlease send resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
