The Media Planner position is a new role on the Brand Marketing team and will assist in the media buying and optimization of our TV campaigns across multiple Wayfair brands, digital advertising campaigns, consumer research efforts and much more. This position will be responsible for optimizing TV campaigns and coordinating with internal and external contacts to drive strong performance results. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical, results-focused individual with strong quantitative and communication skills.

The Media Planner should be comfortable researching, planning and purchasing TV and online media.

Key Responsibilities

* Utilize reporting tools to analyze and optimize TV campaign performance
Identify strong performing networks & programs and communicate effectively with agency & external partners
* Work closely with Wayfair’s internal measurement team to ensure we are ahead of the curve with TV analytics
* Recommend optimization actions: replace weak performing networks/programs, identify alternative spend opportunities and scale strong performing networks
* Prepare for weekly status calls with external agency and proactively identify areas for growth opportunities and/or network performance improvement
* Identify and test new ways to grow TV channel profitably across multiple Wayfair brands
* Partner closely with agency & networks on added value opportunities
* Drive network testing pipeline both internally and externally
* Utilize reporting tools to analyze and optimize digital campaigns with external partners
* Negotiate directly with external network partners on quarterly and annual media plans
* Contribute to consumer research analysis - define and scope projects, coordinate with vendors, analyze results, and translate insights into projects to improve the site and brand experience
* Lead analysis and reporting for the brand organization, including monthly metrics, TV advertising analysis, and ad hoc requests


Qualifications

* 1-3 years of media agency experience
* Strong negotiating & quantitative background
* Analytical, creative and innovative approach to solving problems
* Able to exercise good judgment, solve problems and communicate with confidence
* Comfortable in a data-driven business environment
* Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with DASH, Excel, and SQL a plus
* Experience or interest in marketing and ecommerce, and interested in translating consumer and data insights to actions
