POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Manager of Mobile Research and Sales Planning, the Media Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing mobile inventory to support the planning and execution of campaigns for advertisers. Responsibilities include recommending which mobile networks to put client(s) on and the amount of money to distribute to each network. These decisions can have an impact on the client’s return on investment and ultimately if budgets are increased or decreased during the life cycle of the campaign.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Review, negotiate and purchase mobile inventory for media plans based on client RFPs and proposals.
•Negotiates special placements and added-value for each media buy.
•Develop media buys that meet client cost efficiencies, goal delivery, and campaign parameters.
•Monitors historical rates/CPM structures to ensure rates/CPM integrity is maintained and is able to assign accurate CPM’s with very few to no modifications made by management.
•Monitors media buys in progress by spot checking placements and negotiating credits or billing adjustments when necessary.
•Exercise independent thinking and requires very little help, guidance or corrections from management regarding planning, negotiating and buying.
•Establish professional, productive rapport with account managers/media vendors/internal groups.
•Help keep the team “up to date” by reading, investigating, and sharing new digital opportunities.
•Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
•2+ years of traditional and digital buying/planning experience.
•Proven record of media buying and implementation.
•Strong negotiation skills.
•Experience using 1st & 3rd party ad serving and analytic platforms a plus.
•Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
•Consistent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Ability to work in a collaborative environment and independently.
•Confidence interacting with people across all departments and levels of organization internally and externally.
•Must adhere to company policies, procedures and ethics.
