This Group Director is the owner of the client relationship and key point of contact between HNW and our clients, and will serve both as the voice of HNW to the client and the voice of the client for the rest of the HNW organization. The Group Director will be immersed in the clients’ business, and will develop a deep understanding of their marketing and business goals and objectives, as well as their organizational structure, culture and internal political dynamics. They will ideally function as an extension of their clients’ marketing team, and function as an advisor as well as oversight in project execution and delivery. The Group Director / Marketing Director has accountability for financial goal attainment for assigned clients and is expected to maintain accurate forecasts, ensure project delivery, ensure quality of our offerings, and support HNW in delivering services and solutions profitably. This role will be accountable for growing the relationship and proactively identifying HNW solutions that may include eSuite, our SaaS product.

* Applies expertise and understanding of B2B marketing strategies and drivers of their clients’ business and industry in a consultative selling model
* Leads the client business engagement. This includes setting and attaining financial goals, maintaining an accurate and detailed revenue forecast from the client, and attaining project profitability goals. Manages billing and payment for assignment clients to ensure on-time payment received by HNW.
* Demonstrates range of “critical” thinking and decision making skills that shows business and industry knowledge – identifying key elements of an issue, POVs relative to a strategic or creative direction, deriving implications from research
* Demonstrates role as a trusted advisor by building credibility and maintaining key client relationships that can lead to client referrals
* Understands clients’ vendor landscape and how HNW fits into the clients’ network of partners. Manages relationships with partners to ensure a smooth experience for the clients.
* Takes accountability for account performance, quality of work and efficient delivery of solutions
* Provides effective supervision of company resources through effective planning and use of organizational skills to insure projects are delivered as promised – on time, on budget, meeting marketing or business objectives
* Shows willingness to push thinking and HNW work in new directions while still delivering against marketing or business need profitably
* Sells in new business via consultative selling approach. Demonstrates an ability to provide a range of alternatives for client and agency decision-making. Acts as a resource to HNW team members in assessing ideas and project direction.
* Develops proposals and SOWs for client projects that balance expectations of both client and HNW
* Actively serves as a mentor to team members and establishes career objectives for junior team members (coach and develop skills needed for advancement)
* Up to 35% travel required, primarily in the northeast

* 10+ years’ relevant experience that includes content marketing/digital marketing, e.g. email, mobile, websites, digital publishing, social media and other thought leadership initiatives that include seminars, white papers, etc. (more complex digital solutions vs. paid search, banner ads only)
* Strategic thinking. Ability to identify needs, propose solutions, negotiate and close sales and resolve business issues based upon a deep understanding of clients’ businesses.
* Sales enablement / relationship marketing experience in a B2B sales/marketing environment strongly preferred (either client side or agency/ solutions side). History of helping companies drive success through distributed relationship-oriented sales organizations via development and deployment of materials, tools, and tactics to support sales.
* Experience in the field of Financial Services Asset Management from a marketing/sales enablement perspective is strongly preferred
* Experience with or other CRM desirable
* Demonstrated track record in client relationship development and service
* Demonstrated success pitching or selling new business to new clients and/or expanding existing relationships
* Produce, articulate and “sell” original thinking that adds value to client relationships and HNW institutional knowledge. This includes the ability to recognize and anticipate the impact of specific tactics, campaigns or programs on overall client business goals and relationship.
* Strong team leadership and decision making skills required
* Maintains a positive, action-oriented posture focused on delivering results
* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field required
* Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
