AOL On is seeking a hard-working editorial programming intern for a full-time paid internship position in our New York office. This person will work closely with AOL On’s (on.aol.com) video Programming team on social media, content curation, video playlist management, editorial planning and idea generation. Our interns don’t get us coffee – they source, curate and package compelling, engaging and relevant content that over 80M eyeballs consume on a daily basis. More importantly, they learn the ropes of the video industry, and often turn their love of viral videos into an exciting career.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
·Work alongside AOL On’s YouTube Platform Manager to program and curate AOL On’s channels
·Coordinate with AOL On’s video production teams to develop and refine publishing strategies that generate the maximum number of video views and increase subscribers to AOL On’s YouTube channels.
·Work closely with AOL On Programming team on sourcing, optimizing and scheduling content for social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr)
·Diligently follow YouTube product updates/offerings
·Test and evaluate new strategies, tactics, and partnership opportunities in an effort to evolve and improve our YouTube & social presence

What we're looking for:

All candidates should absolutely LOVE web video and be obsessed with the great wide Internet in general – we’re looking for News and Entertainment junkies, Lifestyle enthusiasts and people who are active – not just present – online. A strong preference for active social users who have an eye for must-see content. We also are looking for:

·Able to work 40hrs/week during normal business hours in our NYC Greenwich Village Office between Jan/Feb 2014 and May 2014
·Recent college graduate (graduated within the last calendar year)
·Experience with editorial work, content management, social media and researching from a previous media internship or school newspaper experience required
·Experience managing a personal YouTube channel and/or creating/uploading content to YouTube strongly preferred
·Comfortable with MS Office, particularly Excel; comfortable analyzing large sets of data
·Detail oriented individual who is highly organized and excels at managing time and competing priorities
·Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
·Experience managing branded Facebook, Twitter or Instagram channels is preferred, but not a must
