About our team and AOL On:
The AOL On Network features original shows as well as partner content from a library of over 800,000 high-quality, short-from videos created by more than 1,000 premier content providers. Through AOLOn, this content is available across hundreds of premium destination sites as well as AOLs owned and operated properties such as AOL.com, The Huffington Post, Moviefone, Engadget, and more. In October 2013, per Comscore Media Metrix, AOL delivered 1.2 billion video views to 62.7 mill unique viewers.

The B2B (business-to-business) programming team, which sits within the larger AOL On programming group, is tasked with maintaining editorial relationships and growing video views on partner websites. Partners include The Weather Channel, Boston.com, The New York Times, Examiner, and Conde Nast.

The B2B programming internship is an immersive experience into the online video and syndication ecosystem. Your work will directly contribute to the success of the department. Important to note that this is not a video production role.

Responsibilities & Duties:
•Package videos around editorial events (holidays, awareness days), breaking news, and trending topics
•Identify video opportunities on partner sites – articles without video embeds, etc.
•Track/report viewership metrics to identify trends and establish plans to increase performance
•Write and aggregate content for programming newsletters and relevant partner communications.
•Help to develop recommendations for partners to utilize and promote AOL video content via Facebook, Twitter, and other developing social media platforms
•Attend and contribute to relevant meetings and calls – weekly department meetings, partner update calls, and strategy/brainstorm sessions

Requirements & Qualifications:
We're looking for recent college graduate or current student with an editorial mindset who love the web plus:
•You're able to work 30-40 business hours per week at our NYC Greenwich Village office beginning in Jan/Feb of 2014 and are able able to work through May
•Previous internship experience curating content, ideally in a digital setting
•Deep knowledge of news and keen eye for trends and general knowledge of editorial events
•Experience with online video – ability to spot trending videos and compelling clips
•Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond to news as it happens
•Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
•Positive, upbeat, can-do attitude
•Knowledge of editorial CMS platforms a plus
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-drive environment
•Be highly organized, detail-oriented and a creative thinker
