Marketing Communications Manager
Brainlab is currently recruiting a Marketing Communications Manager based in Chicago, IL. ResponsibilitiesConcept, write and deliver on-brand marketing materials; edit content from others and coach where possible (product managers, external copywriters) to enhance clarity, achieve brand tone of voice and meet legal/regulatory standards prior to releaseDevelop press materials and coordinate review and release with external public relations firmWork with team to enhance online presence – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Build and maintain external customer relationships and develop turnkey marketing solutions with appropriate ROIWork on effective market strategies to inform comprehensive commercial campaigns including digital, print, and experience needsActively contribute to brainstorming sessions from a strategic and marketing perspective with both the corporate marketing team and product line teamDrive communication between Creative, Marketing Communications and Product Line Marketing teamsManage project estimates; develop project plans and schedules; establish measures and milestones; track ongoing progress; proactively manage risks, issues and scope through the project life-cycle; report project status on a regular basis; address project issues when they ariseManage, develop and evolve coordination of the internal review process, including legal/regulatory for marketing materials and maintain archived files for yearly internal audits; develop in-depth understanding of the regulatory climate and issues such as FDA requirements for promotional materialsEnsure project(s) are delivered on schedule and within budget, while satisfying agreed-upon requirements and specifications within the scope of the project Manage external partners, informing of brand standards and company guidelinesManage and track analytics / metrics to understand response/retention analysis and ROIMaintain motivational, positive attitude; conduct oneself as a leaderExperience in social mediaRequired Experience:4-6 years marketing, marketing communications, public relations or agency experienceSolid writing and grammar skills; 2+ years’ experience in a creative marketing environment Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, English or related fieldFamiliar with print collateral, broadcast and digital/web developmentDeliver exemplary project management and coordination capabilitiesDrive results / deliver ROIWork closely with Director of Corporate Marketing to help define and translate strategy into smart, consistent commercialization and messagingChallenge the status quo and take appropriate risksHave a sense of humorAdd value to an ambitious, energetic, fun, fast-paced marketing and creative teamArticulate ideas and present well to internal customersBe a self-motivator, be organized and be detail-orientedPossess excellent skills in writing, copy editing and verbal communicationsBe proficient in customer relations and confident enough to deal with people of all levels, including senior managementWork unsupervised with ever-changing priorities and demanding deadlinesManage time well, possess the ability to manage many work streams simultaneouslyCommit to quality, with excellent attention to detailPossess strong interpersonal skillsContribute actively and pro-actively to the organizationFoster positive team interaction between offices; maintain a positive attitude, self-direct and self-motivate, generate fresh ideasKnow Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook wellPossess a high comfort level with software and technologyClick here to apply.Additional Comments:In return for the experiences listed above we will provide a business casual environment, competitive compensation package including medical, dental, life, LTD, STD, and matching 401k benefits and much more.
