Sports Illustrated is looking for a new Account Manager in our New York City office. Successful candidates will have an exceptional track record for exceeding sales targets and managing complex and demanding client relationships. The candidate will be responsible for selling integrated advertising programs across the franchise including Sports Illustrated,, Tablet, Mobile and Experiential platforms. The candidate must be a creative and strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills Candidate must be highly organized and able to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage and nurture a client list with a rapidly growing advertiser and revenue base. Create complete awareness among the advertising & marketing community of the Sports Illustrated franchise and competitive advantages. Ability to generate new business with visibility and high energy in the marketplace.

• Work with our Marketing and Sales Development organization to develop creative solutions for clients and their agencies, and maximize sales efforts for both pitch and RFP situations.

• Work to create, sell and deliver cross-platform marketing programs for clients.

Specific Attributes:

o Strong client and agency relationships (Washington DC market experience a plus)
o 5+ years of media sales experience
o A demonstrable track record for strategic, consultative selling with cross-platform experience.
o Existing relationships with the region’s leading advertisers (both client & agency).
o A mature & flexible business style able to navigate complex deals. Must have creative, compelling and persuasive presentation skills, and flourish in negotiations.
