The Sr. Manager of Business Development or Business Development Director works under the Senior Vice President of Client Services (SVPCS) to prospect new business, as well as manage clients through the Business Development process. The Business Developer is a hunter who enjoys uncovering new opportunities. This is a high-profile position with direct visibility to senior leadership. High reward for high performance. The position is located ideally in our Costa Mesa, CA headquarters or NYC ofice.

Work closely with the SVPCS to set sales criteria, process and goals.
Prospect new client opportunities with defined target list.
Interfaces with potential clients on all levels and functions to understand and manage client expectations.
Represent Rauxa as initial contact and ongoing business development leader.
Set introductory/capabilities meetings.
Actively participate in events and organizations to continuously expand referral network.
Establish updated prospect information and introduction to agency communication.
Successfully communicate agency positioning and value proposition to prospects.
Manages the phases of Business Development initiatives through research and planning to pitches, proposals, scope of work (SOW) documents and contracts.
Understands new clients products/services and makes recommendations in conjunction with other internal business units.
Acts as key liaison between potential client and internal teams including strategy, creative, interactive and account services.
Manages client on-board process and transition to the Account Services Department.
Presents Rauxa capabilities presentations to potential clients.
Assess client’s business objectives to provide strategic marketing and advertising recommendations in proposal or presentation format.
Writes project proposals, response to RFP’s/RFI’s, creates PowerPoint presentations and drafts client/agency documentation.
Successfully transition new business to account services team through solid communications both internally and externally.
Travel as needed.

Natural communicator with excellent consultative nature and personality.
Strong marketing and advertising knowledge, including companies, events and associations.
Proven track record of sales within marketing and advertising industry.
Strong negotiation skills.
Comfortable communicating with executives across national and global brands.
Tenacious & driven.
Proven established network of C level relationships based on previous sales and marketing activities.
Strong desire to work for the best.

Minimum of 8 years experience (Sr. Manager) and 10+ years for Director.

Education/Experience Required:
Minimum 8 years experience in an Advertising/Marketing agency with strong digital background.
Experience working in fast-paced, highly demanding role.
Bachelors Degree required.
