Digital Creative Director – Editorial Development Group
 
Conde Nast has the highest quality digital magazines available through all channels on all major devices at launch. In this role, you will manage all Conde Nast corporate digital products, with a specific focus on the UI/UX and dynamic content development for Conde Nast’s digital magazine features and platform development. Responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, developing interactive design solutions and leading projects from start to finish. You will concept and design for existing and next generation app design and ideation, and work with a collaborative team of producers, developers and editorial clients.
 
UI/UX Development
Development of design and features for CN digital magazines and apps
-         next-generation experiences for Digital Publishing Tools
-         enhanced reader experiences on tablets, mobile phones, and web
 
Collaborate with Consumer Marketing and Tech to design flows and experiences that can be prototyped and refined to align the consumer purchase experience with reading experience
-         improve the consumer transaction process to create higher conversion rates (both purchase and authentication)
 
Dynamic Content Development
Work with the editorial creative teams to design interactive dynamic content with scale to integrate across all Conde Nast digital editions
-         leverage SIP, video, HTML, social and exclusive content as well as promotional
considerations for each title to improve engagement for frequently-updated content
experiences
 
Other Duties
Direct and balance core creative services disciplines (design, information architecture, user interface, user experience and production) for a small team of designers and developers to support the initiatives and products defined above
 
Collaborate with the Design Director, Mobile to align initiatives and outcomes for distribution partners
-         maintain the highest quality digital magazines
-         improve rankings in partner stores for ratings, sales and all other metrics
 
Collaborate with the Design Director, SIPs on content distribution initiatives and additional print/digital integrations
 
Requirements
-         5-7 years of senior digital/interactive design experience
-         Senior experience working with outside partners in the tech and design sphere (Adobe, Apple, Amazon, etc)
-         Solid understanding of UI/UX design and high interest in inventing and developing new experiences for all devices
-         Experience with online media, digital editions, social networks and digital trends
-         Experience in the media industry is essential
-         Proven background in designing high-quality content
o   strong portfolio showing previous visual and interaction design work
o   good aesthetic sense, strong typography skills and motion design ability
-         Technical aptitude and a familiarity working with HTML, javascript and CSS
-         Proficient in Adobe DPS, the full Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote
