About the Role:

We're looking for a Director of Media who will be responsible for growing and managing a team of analysts dedicated to enhancing the Spongecell media offering. He/She will organize and drive media strategy- planning and buying, how we optimize, constant reporting & analysis to ensure we are creating best quality media plans. This person will also be responsible for directing team and department projects along with managing media financials to ensure the team delivers against client objectives, stays on strategy, on budget and on schedule. We are looking for an effective strategist full of ideas and possibilities; someone who can both create and bring exciting ideas while sharing our vision of brand performance, transparency and impact.

Responsibilities Include:

-Participate in planning sessions regarding client strategy and approach, providing leadership and consultation, while acting as a voice for media (i.e. will work closely with internal departments to identify campaign goals, prep for sales proposals, ensure we are developing engaging creative that is in line with client goals)

-Lead forward thinking ideas for client, ensuring team is incorporating creativity and innovation into media plan development to ensure optimal brand performance

-Help maintain and improve profitable media relationships with DSPs, negotiate pricing & purchase inventory on a CPA, CPM, CPC and CPE basis, and prospect for new media placements that expand distribution

-Responsible for setting up, negotiating rates and maintaining private exchanges with various SSPs and publishers

-Will oversee individual campaigns from start to finish, setting up and executing campaigns in Demand Side Platforms (DSPs)

-Builds and manages a team of analysts overseeing workflow management, efficient and profitable servicing of client(s), staffing levels and team assignments

-Perform audits of departmental performance and identify opportunities to increase efficiency, maximize ROI, and develop new optimization strategies.

-Assist in preparing client-facing campaign summaries.

-Stays apprised of new technologies and trends and has a keen understanding of digital landscape to incorporate into media driven solutions and business building ideas

What you'll bring:

-10 years of experience within the interactive advertising industry (at least 5 years within the programmatic space)

-High level of expertise in DSPs, Private Exchanges, Ad Serving Technology; Knowledgeable with SSPs.

-Proficient in Salesforce with task management systems a plus.

-Ability to build and manage a media team ensuring optimal planning, execution and reporting on all media campaigns

-Strong analytical background a must. A good knowledge of Ad Ops/Rich Media, Video and Mobile Ad Formats needed.

-Effective strategist full of ideas and possibilities who can both create and bring exciting ideas while sharing our vision of brand performance, transparency and impact.

-Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google docs.

-Ability to multi task and collaborate across business units
