Bloomberg.com Social Media Editor
The RoleBloomberg Digital is recruiting for a social media editor responsible for managing social feeds and developing social components to support Bloomberg.com’s editorial content. Applicants for this position should have prior experience with online media or a journalism background as well as a strong understanding of financial news. Breaking news experience is necessary as this person needs to be able to act quickly but carefully in getting the news out to our social followers. The social media editor may also be called on to help train Bloomberg editorial staff on how to incorporate social media into their reporting and workflow. Experience with social analytic tools is a plus.The position reports to Bloomberg Digital’s Executive Producer.Qualifications:-2+ years of recent and relevant web/editorial/social media and journalism experience, ideally including experience at a major media website/publication.-Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels;-Superior communication skills, including writing, editing and verbal capabilities;-Pragmatic sense of business acumen, problem solving abilities, creativity, and sense of "getting things done."
