Candidates must have at least five years of relevant work experience in communications, public relations or public affairs. In addition, candidates should have knowledge and experience with:

Account management: Demonstrated ability to lead projects and/or manage client account teams and to develop high-quality client deliverables

Strategic communications: Proven ability to craft thoughtful communications plans, compelling messages and talking points

Media engagement: Experience executing media plans (including both traditional and digital elements), working with journalists, drafting and disseminating press releases, and developing media lists

Writing: Knowledge of AP Style; ability to write press releases, media pitches, op-eds, bylined articles and online content

Business development: Experience participating in proposal development and new client pitches

Professional support: Willingness and ability to mentor junior professionals

Experience dealing with issues in energy, infrastructure, science or technology and willingness to travel to both domestic and international destinations considered a plus.
