Director of Public Relations
Your mission will be:•Define, develop and oversee end-to-end execution of PR strategy & plans for WorldLifestyle. Manage PR initiatives and provide strategic insight that drive business results by working directly with the cross-functional editorial, SEO and social teams.•Day-to-day management of the expert/influencer/celebrity outreach program; maintain positive and professional relationships with key influencers and partners, and evaluate opportunities with PR Associates to strengthen existing relationships and target/develop new ones.•Prepare WL team-members/spokespeople for media interactions, internal communications and public appearances. •Develop relationships with key journalists, tech and trade press •Regularly interact with SEO and editorial teams to influence content strategy and negotiate decisions in relation to editorial/media launches and announcements. •Develop and maintain positive, engaging and professional relationships with media (print, broadcast, online, blogs) within the female-focused health, beauty and wellness categories. •Assist in project research and writing media materials•Research and create targeted media pitch lists in a variety of areas (fitness/lifestyle/wellness and current events)•Manage the PR process across a wide range of PR vehicles including social media, SEO and Editorial.•Communicate with management teams to discuss focus, direction and schedules for celebrity endorsements, giveaways, content and more•Define, develop and oversee end-to-end execution of PR strategy & plans for World Lifestyle’s business.•Drive internal and external executive communications for high-level executives in the sales and media group•Regularly interact with senior leadership to influence strategy and negotiates decision in relation to advertising/media launches and announcements. Qualifications and Experience:•Relevant college degree and 4-6 years of experience in entertainment/PR field/media relations (PR, talent or management) with a solid background in luxury brand communications, public relations and/or event marketing•A very strong roster of local and national contacts in lifestyle, health, fitness, entertainment, beauty and consumer media•Experience working with digital properties or high-traffic consumer websites•Discretion working with high-profile personalities and their representatives•Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and deadlines, and ability to balance/prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously•Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 25% travel•Extremely Web savvy with experience using various social media and CMS platforms •Diplomatic and cool under pressure•A highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced start-up environment•Creative, positive, and high-energy individual with an ability to executeCandidates must live in the Los Angeles, CA area, or be in the process of relocating to Los Angeles.
