AtlanticLIVE, the live events arm of The Atlantic magazine, seeks a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and service-minded professional to join our team and contribute to the growth, development, and execution of a wide range of editorial events and programs. Playing a critical role within our fast-paced event sales team focused on managing existing business and identifying new prospective partners for The Atlantic’s live events, the Coordinator will support a team of 5 sales professionals, serving at the intersection of our marketing and sales functions.

Responsibilities Include:
•Identify new leads and contacts for AtlanticLIVE — corporations, associations, foundations, and others that are potential underwriters for Atlantic events, and appropriate executive contacts within each
•Conduct research into companies’ goals, campaigns, and corporate communications efforts and serve as expert on sales team on event topics of interest for current and prospective underwriters
•Build solid relationships with key points of contact at current and prospective clients; support the team in scheduling sales visits, preparing marketing materials, and developing event proposals
•Provide administrative support to the sales team including: tracking competitive events; fielding incoming requests from prospective and current clients; and managing revenue reporting

•Actively participate in the ideation of new event concepts and proposals as an enterprising, entrepreneurial, and productive team contributor, constantly and eagerly identifying new means of innovation to grow AtlanticLIVE’s impact across all constituent groups (e.g., in person attendees, online viewers/readers, speakers, underwriters)

•Ability to manage complex and fast-changing program elements and prioritize effectively in response
•Fluency in digital database products (e.g., Salesforce)
•Entrepreneurial spirit, track record of initiative, and ownership of work
•True service ethic, spirit of generosity, and gracious sense of humor
•Interest in national affairs, politics, business, and the arts with knowledge of leading figures in each category
•Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of relevant experience
