The Random House Children's Group is looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the team! Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Assistant Marketing Manager develops and implements marketing plans for assigned trade titles across all categories (picture book, middle-grade, and young adult), coordinates promotions to all retail channels, and works closely with the Director of Marketing, all marketing teams (School & Library, Content Development, Consumer Development) and Publicity to craft cohesive campaigns and ensure consistent messaging and calculated strategy across the trade list.

Our requirements
The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of related experience & a background in managing large-scale social media accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-With guidance from the Director of Marketing, develop and execute frontlist and backlist marketing plans for assigned trade titles across all Random House Children?s Books categories: picture book, middle grade and young adult
-Work closely with School & Library Marketing, Content Development, Consumer Development and Publicity to ensure cohesive marketing campaigns and messaging
-Manage the creation of all related marketing materials including writing copy, coordinating with design and production, and distributing finished materials
-Create retail strategy across all accounts; customize programs where applicable.
-Craft creative social media campaigns and strategies for appropriate titles, with a goal of successfully engaging consumers and driving title/author awareness and sales
-Collaborate with authors/illustrators to maximize campaign effectiveness
-Develop and maintain third party partnerships and programs to further enhance our reach and awareness of our titles
-Manage and maintain budget with monthly financial reconciliations and regular reviews to rebalance and reallocate as necessary.
-Develop and deliver campaign presentations and strategies to sales, editorial and retail when applicable.
-Perform other related projects or duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing
