Crain Communications Inc. is seeking a dynamic and innovative Media Services Manager to work in our NYC office location. This is a key role in assisting the transition of this role to provide a multitude of services to our internal clients, including:


· Will be responsible for managing print magazine layouts for magazines
· Coordinate delivery of supplied custom publishing projects, traffic and review all incoming print and on-line advertising for all publications and associated products.
· Place supplied fractional and full page advertising files into page templates.
· Process Quark, or InDesign files for full page ad pages into print-ready PDFs.
· Traffic and approve all page files for all issues and supplements with Printers
· Liaison between Advertisers, Publishers, Sales, Distribution Department and all suppliers.
· Support Sales Representatives in the selling of print advertisements by obtaining accurate and thorough quotes for projects and keeping Sales Representatives fully informed of client activity
· Cultivate and preserve strong relations with Advertisers. Anticipate their needs, offer timely and innovative solutions to concerns and status updates.
· Work with Crain PreMedia Specialists and Advertisers to assess and repair problems with print advertising files.
· Issue timely, accurate and thorough instructions to Printers for the print production of the publications.
· Audit and approve printer invoices for accuracy.
· Provide regular folio forecast in order to plan paper purchasing.

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years advertising and magazine production management experience.
· Results orientated with focus on problem solving and continuous process improvement.
· Strong communication and team contribution skills.
· Strong organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills Skills
· Extensive knowledge of magazine and custom publishing print production, workflow and file management
· Experience trafficking materials for both print and on-line ad campaigns - Proficient with Quark, InDesign and Acrobat
· Experience with magazine production management systems
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Experience in managing manufacturing budgets and metrics and tracking invoice costs
