Communications and Marketing Manager
The Communications and Marketing Manager will lead communications, promotion/marketing and PR activities for Lyrical Press and eKensington, the digital imprints of Kensington Publishing, which mostly publish romance and womens fiction. He/She will provide strategy and leadership as well as tactical support for media relations, marketing campaigns and related activities that support and advance Lyrical Press and eKensington. Candidate should have at least three years of experience in the communications/public relations/marketing field. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create, develop and implement effective online media strategies and marketing campaigns. Create press releases, pitch letters and promotional materials. Monitor, track, and circulate relevant media coverage and marketing strategies. Manage the media presence for Lyrical Press and eKensington, generating positive media coverage for the imprint and its titles/authors in traditional, online and social media. Pitch and arrange interviews, events, blog tours, reviews and other PR initiatives. Work with authors to create cohesive promotion strategies between the authors and the imprint. Work with team to enhance online presence Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. Collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage and develop marketing campaigns and identify new opportunities to grow Lyrical and eKensington sales. QUALIFICATIONS: Skilled with digital communications and related technology, including how to use effectively use social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook as part of media relations activities. Digital media buying and implementation experience. Contacts and developed relationships across relevant online press channels. Excellent project management, analytical, creative and writing skills required.
