Background and Opportunity:

FM’s content marketing business unit creates and executes innovative content marketing programs leveraging unique voices, emerging media tools and platforms, and the broad distribution channel of our influencer network. Our sales team is a group of creative, innovative and strategic sellers who effectively communicate their passion for content marketing in ways that resonate with clients and result in well-executed programs that marketers love. We are looking for Account Executives in New York and San Francisco to join our team.

Role and Responsibility:

FM’s Account Executives are responsible for driving advertising revenue through direct sales by prospecting and developing new opportunities. Additionally, the AE will be focused on renewing revenue with existing partners within a defined territory. Elements of the role include:
•Strategically selling FM’s content marketing and standard media, sponsorships and custom solutions, resulting in meeting and exceeding quarterly sales quota.
•Conducting consultative and strategic sales by educating agency and client partners on market trends, advertising strategies and measurement/reporting of conversational marketing to position Federated Media as a leader in the space.
•Owning and fostering relationships across agencies to drive revenue growth.
•Identifying opportunities and make proactive recommendations to drive revenue growth outside of the RFP cycle.
•Reviewing RFPs and make recommendations that will stand out and deliver results.
•Being the liaison between cross-functional internal teams to oversee the creation of strategic recommendations, implementation and execution, interpretation of analysis and communication of results to drive upsells and renewals.
•Continual self-education on industry news, trends and brands within assigned territory.
•Producing regular forecasts and call reports to keep the organization and senior management informed of all account activity.
•Participating in the development of long-term growth strategy for accounts.

Professional Background and Experience:

Preferred experience and characteristics include:
•Knowledgeable and passionate about digital and social media s a marketing platform - specifically conversational marketing (blogs, micro-blogs, social networks, applications, video, mobile, etc.)
•Self-starter and natural leader with a strong desire to win and grow personally and professionally.
•Creative thinker and strategic seller who can communicate complex solutions efficiently both internally and externally.
•A proven track record of profitable sales, relationship building, and customer retention with Fortune 500 brand marketers and their agencies.
•Analytical ability and experience with project management.
•Ability to handle multiple challenges at once and being able to prioritize those tasks accordingly.
•BS/BA degree or equivalent training and experience.
•2 - 3 years of digital advertising sales experience.
•Existing industry relationships with clients and agencies.
•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
