As Digital Rights Manager, reporting to the Director of Digital Rights, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing new content license partnerships across Wiley’s global business units, formulating approaches to grow the business via partnerships and alliances.

Specific responsibilities include: identify new global strategic alliances and partnerships that will drive global digital licensing revenue, with specific personal focus in the areas that are assigned by Director on annual basis; research and prospect for new accounts and develop sales from these accounts; identify and target new business opportunities across a variety of licensing channels including: online subscription sites, websites; eLearning, and mobile; negotiate, draft, and structure business development deals; report on business development activities and opportunities, ensuring that they are well communicated and understood; monitor competitors and competitive trends in the industry; participate in industry conferences; maintain current awareness of trends, new products, customer buying behaviors and preferences, and report on such information; interact internally with other publishing functional groups including business development, marketing and editorial managers.

•3-5 years business development experience preferably in the digital content / digital product licensing areas
•Extensive deal negotiation and client management experience
•Prior experience in growing and managing key accounts and preparing quotes and proposals
•Has a pipeline of contacts to pitch Wiley content to
•Knowledge of the emerging trends in content delivery; the mobile environment, social media and the business models and technologies behind them
•Strong PC Skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and is able to create and build spreadsheets
•Avid consumer of digital content including music, videos, and books
•Knowledgeable of online social media trends and how to leverage various online communities to raise one’s visibility
•Self-starter who is able to work independently
•Multi-tasker—can handle various projects simultaneously and independently
•Must be detail-oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of colleagues and customers
•Results-oriented style
•Strong strategic thinking skills, excellent negotiation skills, strong presentation skill

•Project Management skills; able to organize complex deals

•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
