Street Fight, an integrated media company focused on mobile and location marketing, commerce, publishing and technology, seeks a seasoned business journalist with leadership experience to take our daily content and research offerings to the next level. In this role, you will be shaping the way influential decision-makers understand the fast-growing opportunities in hyperlocal marketing and technology. You will be joining a funded, three-year-old media/research/events startup with the wind at its back and big plans for growth. Street Fight is already the go-to resource for hyperlocal business information, and you will be reaching a well-established, core audience that really loves what we do and depends on us for business intelligence — and building on that audience to reach more companies as they put more focus on local. You will work closely with our chief operating officer to ramp up our daily content offerings; develop a long-term editorial strategy that supports the vision and objectives of the company; create and execute editorial series and packages (both pure-play and sponsored); recruit and manage freelance writers, columnists, and guest authors; edit and manage our daily email newsletter; and write regularly for the site. You will also manage some aspects of our research division, including the assignment and production of industry white papers, and the programming and management of industry webinars. You will also work closely with our team to help create and shape programming for our popular live events in New York, San Francisco, and Denver. The real macro opportunity here, however, is to join a well-respected and influential publication and take it to new heights.
