We are currently seeking a Director, Global Executive Conferences to join our ad sales organization.  The Director, Global Executive Conference Sales role is accountable for sustaining and growing advertising sales revenue across all media platforms for The Wall Street Journal's conferences.  This position prospects and develops global / national accounts for event sponsorship with multimedia advertising packages.  The Director, Global Executive Conference Sales also determines potential for revenue growth among new and existing WSJ accounts while working with the WSJ sales team to increase awareness of conferences.

-Effectively communicate the benefits of the WSJ Conference Portfolio internally to sales teams and to prospective sponsors
-Find new decision makers at companies to close sponsorships, facilitate the expansion of client based relationships
-Contributes to the growth of all brands, including exploration of new global and regional conference extensions
-Determines potential for revenue growth among existing WSJ accounts and works with WSJ sales team to increase awareness of conferences
-Prospects and develops new global and national accounts for event sponsorship
-Works closely with clients to develop advertising solutions and ensure that all of their marketing needs are met
-Offers a consultative sales approach with prospective clients in order to offer custom-tailored conference and advertising solutions
-Markets and leverages internal WSJ relationships to ensure best value, pricing and support of the conferences
-Ensure strong execution of onsite activation with Conferences team that meets or exceeds sponsors' expectations
-Thorough follow up and organizational skills to ensure sponsorship renewals

-Bachelor's degree
-3+ years of print / digital advertising sales experience
-Proven sales skills with successful record of attaining or exceeding quotas
-Self-motivated with ability to sell externally to C-level clients and work internally with WSJ sales team
-Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills
-Ability to comprehend and explain the features and benefits of multiple products
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities using effective organizational and time-management skills
-15% travel is required
-Experience selling conferences is highly desirable
