Help us do work that matters by defining and channeling the voice of our growing brand.

Blue State Digital seeks an experienced content strategist and writer to join our marketing team to create compelling content across an array of channels, from case studies and white papers to digital content and social media outreach. We are looking for a creative talent who can channel the voice of BSD, the poetry and the prose—from short, pithy social to long-form thought leadership.


?Define and channel the BSD brand voice across internal and external communications
?Help manage a robust content calendar for multiple channels and verticals
?Research and write range of marketing content: case studies, blog posts, website copy, proposal templates, thought leadership, as well as internal communication, fun projects and brand support, etc.
?Continually update and manage our social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
?Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice and optimized for search and user experience
?4-6 years copywriting experience, ideally in an agency or other marketing context
?Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or related field
?Exceptional portfolio demonstrating ability to write in different voices/styles
?Strong attention to detail with love of language, proofreading, fact checking
?Great conversationalist with sense of humor who easily engage and collaborate with colleagues
?Incredibly organized multitasker–able to prioritize and complete multiple assignments
?Ability to deftly transform false starts and last-minute re-writes into stellar work
?Motivated, proactive, high-energy self-starter who can generate big ideas and carry out tasks with modest oversight
?Proficiency with Mac OS, Pages and Keynote preferred
This position will report to the Vice President, Marketing.
