Job Description

Government Executive Media Group (GEMG) seeks a highly driven, digital-savvy marketer to join our team as Audience Marketing Associate. The Audience Marketing Associate is a cross functional position that will work across Marketing, Digital, Design, and Sales teams. He/she will be responsible for leading several marketing campaigns, creating partnerships within the industry, and delivering on database analytics.

The Audience Marketing Associate will report to the Audience Marketing Manager.


Responsibilities Include:

•Work closely with Audience Marketing Manager to develop messaging and copy for marketing communications, including emails, print and online ads, promotional blurbs, etc.
•Manage execution of strategies for registering our online audience via email/social marketing
•Maintain and grow presence on social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, Facebook) by monitoring and optimizing activity across them to enhance audience engagement
•Assist in fulfillment of editorial and lead-gen assets
•Monitor, analyze, and report on audience development results
•Develop partnerships and trade agreements for tent pole events that drive brand visibility and awareness.
•Deliver analytics and database reports per sales team requests.


Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

•Exceptional writing skills, specifically in persuasive copywriting
•Strong skills in analytical and strategic thinking; ability to understand and use relevant information about market issues and audience interests to develop compelling messaging
•Creativity and a high degree of organization skills
•1-2 years of experience in marketing preferred
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Strong spreadsheet and database skills
•Familiarity with email marketing software and/or marketing automation preferred
•Basic knowledge of HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver preferred
•Experience with Google Analytics, Omniture or other analytics platform preferred
