Job Description

At Jacobson Rost, PR account executives facilitate campaign and project execution to achieve measurable objectives. Our AEs often work within a cross-functional team that may include advertising, media and/or other strategic marketing disciplines. JR seeks self-starters who show flexibility and are able to manage multiple activities across diverse accounts on a day-to-day basis.

This position reports to a Senior Account Executive or an Account Supervisor who works with the team to meet client deadlines and achieve agency quality standards.

Core Skillsets

Strong writing and proofing skills in a variety of formats, exceptional media relations and social media skills and excellent verbal communication skills are required. Specific skillsets include:

• Writes clearly, effectively and creatively in diverse formats including: press releases, media alerts, recaps, etc.
• Develops and maintains relationships with a variety of media/influencers/bloggers in consumer and trade publications
• Responsible for planning and flawlessly executing special events including but not limited to: on-site partnership activations, social media executions and special media event / tours
• Serves as primary liaison between third party vendors and JR
• Conducts research to assist with campaign development
• Monitoring, tracking and analyzing all campaign results
• Firm knowledge of the public relations function and the value it brings to the overall marketing discipline, not only to specific client accounts but to Jacobson Rost as a whole
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Thinks expansively and creatively about problems and identifies solutions
• Brings passion, participation and point of view to the workplace

Desired Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in PR, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience
• Strong verbal presentation skills and mastery with Microsoft Office
• Proven knowledge and track record of success in executing communications techniques and strategies
• Understanding of the business environment and role PR strategies/campaigns play in meeting client objectives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
