Responsibilities:

-- Format and post web content on NASFAA.org and other NASFAA online materials
-- Help develop and maintain fresh website content
-- Assist the Manager of Web Strategy with managing site structure and content according to established procedures
-- Ensure that content is appropriately written and structured to meet organizational goals and user needs
-- Manipulate and enhance content item in preparation for web posting
-- Perform content analyses (i.e. what is missing/needs updating)
-- Enforce content creation, maintenance, and archiving policies
-- Effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments (marketing, training, conference/meetings, and policy/advocacy) to ensure positive user experience
-- Cross-platform testing of new tools and other development items
-- Assist staff and members with site, online tool, and CMS usage
-- Develop documentation, training materials, and supporting files pertaining to online initiatives

Required skills:

-- Associate’s degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
-- Web technology background, content management experience, and advanced knowledge of HTML;
-- Experience in writing copy for the Internet and re-purposing copy for online use with a focus on marketing copy, and maintaining an singular, focused editorial voice
-- Knowledge and experience with industry standard file formats, optimizing images, video and PDFs for the web
-- Ability to create and edit various types of content including, but not limited to PDFs, imagery, video, and other formats
-- Solid team player, a self-starter, highly motivated and able to take initiative;
-- Detail-oriented, but able to see the big picture
-- Customer-service oriented disposition, strong follow-through and excellent time-management skills
-- Communicates effectively with all levels of internal and external audiences

Preferred Skills:

-- Experience with Internet technologies, professional production software and content management systems, including Ektron CMS, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver
-- Experience with information architecture and specifications development
-- Demonstrated experience in writing for the web and ability to tailor content to different audiences/objectives
-- Web analytics and SEO experience
