OBJECTIVE

This position is critical to the execution of marketing, public relations and communications initiatives for LLR Consulting's portfolio of clients, as well as to the acquisition of new clients. The Senior Account Executive will participate in the creative process, and take the lead in formulating marketing and media pitch concepts for and managing multiple client accounts, implementing campaigns that drive results. The ideal candidate is creative, entrepreneurial, extremely organized and eager to make things happen. Having worked at a New York-based public relations agency for at least 4 years, the candidate has actively participated in the business development process, has extensive client service experience and excellent media relations, as well as the digital marketing savvy and writing chops to engage the target audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Big Picture:

Be exceedingly comfortable with client interaction, whether it's managing and meeting client expectations, or leading client reporting sessions

Take a proactive role in bringing on new business, including identifying and contacting prospective clients, defining business needs and developing creative proposals designed to deliver results

Develop strategic brand launch and development campaigns that include experiential marketing opportunities, meaningful third-party alignments, digital marketing initiatives and media approach, tactics, and timelines, consistent with the clients' overall marketing and business strategies

Participate in/lead brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients, their overall brand positioning and opportunities

Proactively develop and maintain relationships with influential members of the press, across media outlets to ensure placements and coverage for our clients based on their industry, current trends and desired positioning

The Day-to-Day:

Manage client relations for multiple accounts

Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work in order to drive consistent brand development and media results

Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff; manage daily intern responsibilities

Take the lead in the research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations

Proactively pitch and secure coverage in targeted media outlets, including broadcast, print and new media, in our target sectors, writing and editing materials, as needed

Ensure press attendance at and coverage of client events; facilitate media interviews and follow up

Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as "experts in their field"

Proactively seek out and build relationships with complementary brands

Own the daily account management activities, including activity reports, media monitoring and coordination of all necessary materials for client accounts

Prepare monthly client reports on an ongoing basis, as well as have media interaction tracked and ready to respond to client inquiries

REQUIREMENTS

B.A./B.S. in Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
At least 4 years of New York-based PR agency experience, ideally working with clients in the lifestyle, wellness, fashion, beauty or design sector
Proven client relationship management and supervisory skills
Experience identifying, pitching and closing new business

Strong relationships with high caliber trade, local and national press across mediums
Solid media relations skills with the ability to develop creative story angles and secure coverage
Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Keen grasp of all social media outlets and how to use them to create effective digital campaigns for clients and as a tool to create dialogue with influencers and press
Ability to work independently, as well as manage a team to deliver results
Ability to explain concepts and ideas in a compelling manner
Creative, strategic thinker with an eye for brand partnership opportunities
Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
