Mirriad is seeking a full-time, Midwest Sales Director to sell high value digital programs to both brands and agencies. This person will play a significant role in the development and execution of Mirriad’s overall digital sales strategy, while also helping manage, lead and partner with ad-ops and media planners. The ideal candidate will have experience selling digital and/or mobile advertising to all types of advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies. A solid Rolodex of clients and agencies is a must, but beyond that s/he must understand how to problem-solve on the fly and take a consultative approach to closing a sale. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial atmosphere. Significant experience and track record of success, along with knowledge and passion for the media, music and television industries are essential.

Midwest Sales Director will manage important partners and brand clients (including agencies) in region with a view to growing revenues from both existing and new accounts. An experienced media person familiar with professionally produced content and related Media Environments. The ideal candidate is an industry professional who has operated on the media sales side of a major broadcaster or video distributer or on the media buying side of a major agency.

This is an opportunity to lead the development of Mirriad’s digital advertising across the Mid-West including Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, and Texas.

Reporting to Mirriad’s Head of Sales, the position will manage day to day commercial activity for named accounts and develop a local Mirriad sales and client services team including set up of a Mirriad office location.


Overall responsibility for the development and execution of Mirriad’s digital sales plan across the Mid-West: Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Texas.

Evangelize and prospect into ad agencies, top tier advertisers, and Fortune 500 companies.

Coordinate with Head of US Sales and Client Services to oversee proper execution of campaigns and insure alignment with client objectives.

Forecast, track, and report sales performance using CRM.

Prepare, agree and execute a commercial plan in order to meet or exceed forecast revenues.

Utilize all available tools to expertly and properly represent Mirriad in the advertising community, including extensive face-to-face meetings, phone calls, email, and conference attendance.

You will work with brands and agencies to formulate brand integration campaigns using the Mirriad platform.

You will be responsible for drafting and executing all Mirriad video digital distribution deals in region.

You will also be responsible for operationalizing these deals, ensuring the relevant sales parties (both Mirriad and video distribution partner’s sales force) are connecting to the platform and achieving revenue objectives.

You will execute a comprehensive digital ad sales agenda in a rapidly paced, entrepreneurial organization driven by highly demanding, creative media clients.

You must have strong organizational ability working with multiple territories, plus experience with TV and music video content owners to maximize profit.


•5+ years advertising sales experience, including 3+ years of digital experience. Mobile sales
experience is a plus.
•Self-starter, energetic and resilient, with an enthusiasm and determination to achieve

•Possess a well-received communication style to influence others and articulate a vision to
colleagues and clients.
•Bright, quick study and an ability to synthesize information from multiple internal and external

•Good grounding, competency and experience in relevant digital technologies used by video
distribution platforms.
•Track record of outstanding sales performance
•Exceptional selling, presentation, negotiation and closing skills
•Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
•Up-to-date knowledge of trends in the digital advertising marketplace.
•Strong collaboration skills - able to work effectively as part of a team as well as with outside
•Set and manage client expectations with a view to selling Mirriad services and meeting planned
commercial goals and targets
•Negotiate with clients to achieve optimal revenue and profit margin as set and agreed with
Mirriad’s Head of Sales.
•Thorough understanding of media business models
•Understanding advertiser briefs and able to work with both brand and agency
•Possess an ability to quickly synthesize information from multiple internal and external sources
and translate into effective and actionable plans.
•Strong understanding of how brand and agencies operate (experience essential).
•Bringing to bear a high resilience to unpredictable feedback loops and input from multiple
constituents (content owners, brands, agencies).
•Bringing to bear a high degree of personal gravitas and ability to communicate directly
effectively with stakeholders.
•Passion for Entertainment industry, specifically TV and Music.
•High energy; an entrepreneurial spirit.
•Bachelor's degree
