Cambridge University Press, a leader in academic publishing, is currently seeking an Institutional Sales Representative to join our Journals Department. This position will be responsible for selling new and existing online products, including Cambridge journals packages, journal archives, databases and eBooks to a territory within the US library and institutional market.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and further developing relationships with existing customers
• Interest in, and awareness of, market trends and issues for academic libraries
• Ability to research and target new business; ability to make cold calls
• Responding to high volumes of customer/internal queries daily (via email or phone)
• Preparing quotes, negotiating pricing and providing follow-up through all stages of the sale
• Responsible for tracking & reporting monthly sales activities, including any significant customer feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues internally to ensure customer satisfaction & quickly resolve outstanding customer issues
• Moderate to heavy travel: library visits within sales territory and attendance at annual library market conferences
• Creation and execution of public sales presentations
• Daily use of CRM software - Salesforce

Ideal Candidates will possess at least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in academic market digital sales. A Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent preferred, strong interpersonal and communications skills, ability to prioritize and work independently, within a team environment, and knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Word, & Power Point, Internet research.
Salesforce experience and interest or experience working in/with academic libraries is a plus.
