•Working with the SVP of PR and social media, help create long-term PR strategy for Deutsch LA.
•Craft PR messages for Deutsch LA campaigns.
•Pitch to journalists via phone and email.
•Build relationships with key advertising, business, or consumer press.
•Manage op eds and speaking engagements for Deutsch LA executives.
•Manage relationships with independent PR agencies and vendors.
•Create communications for Deutsch LA clients across multiple industries.
•Help to manage the editorial calendar for the Deutsch Blog (

•Fearlessness, determination, warmth, and the ability to talk to anyone.
•4-6 years handling PR for brands or agencies, including strategy, daily engagement with press, and frequent social media updates for the brand.
•Knowledge of the advertising business.
•Experience working with advertising, business, or general consumer press, and strong relationships with journalists in those fields.
•BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a communications-, journalism-, or advertising-related field.
•Experience with media database and monitoring tools such as Vocus, Cision and Meltwater.
•Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
•Knowledge of proper PR conventions, coupled with the ability to deal with sensitive topics.
