The WNJU Research Director is responsible for analyzing and interpreting ratings and other market data for the WNJU sales and news teams. Specific duties include but are not limited to: -The Research Director is responsible for providing strategic and analytical guidance in support of sales, marketing, and platform performance; and developing top line and detailed analysis, reports, presentations, and highlights covering business performance. -To design and implement sales research strategies for the Telemundo station across all platforms. To analyze raw data, drawing conclusions from the information, and clearly articulating that message to others. -To support the sales team by providing ongoing tracking data as available; Assist with planning, designing, overseeing, analyzing and reporting ad sales primary research projects. -Respond to daily data analysis requests from the sales and news team -Support local news by tracking, trending and profiling viewers -Manage distribution of information relating to other new media initiatives including, but not limited to TV, online, mobile, digital out of home, etc. -Work with network and external vendors to manage primary research projectsBasic Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years working with Nielsen TV ratings and Scarborough, Media Audit and CMR -Minimum 5 years proven ability to analyze, prepare and present reports and presentations -5 years’ experience in the media industry as an analyst - High proficiency in MS Office Suite. -External applicants are encouraged to submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered -Must be willing to work in New York, NY (additionally must be willing to commute to our station in Fort Lee, NJ on occasion and when requested for news team support) - Must be able to travel. -Must be willing to submit to a background investigation -Must be 18 years or greater. -Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. -Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
