The Wall Street Journal is seeking creative and innovative Advertising Sales Coordinators to join our team and begin their sales careers! The Sales Coordinator role shapes emerging sales talent (you!) by providing experience working with the premiere sales team in the industry on all media platforms. As a new coordinator, you’ll have access to our in-depth sales training program, where you’ll learn how to manage the sales process, build long-term client relationships, and gain a thorough understanding of our company, our clients, and the industry.

Responsibilities:
-Serve as a main liaison between clients and internal departments, as well as between the sales and sales support teams- you are fundamental in making sure ads run, and that they run right!
-Participate in and assist in the planning for important sales calls with Advertising Account Executives and Directors
-Provide customer service to client base teams as you will own the relationships with key agencies and clients
-Contribute to the development of client proposals, presentations, research, and analysis
-Process ads and manage the full post-sales process and account maintenance
-Assist in prospecting and qualifying business leads
-Understand our industry and clients and present creative solutions to land the next big campaign!

 
Qualifications:
-Graduation date between December 2013 and June 2014 with a proven record of academic success
-Strong desire to manage your own book of business. You’ll get there if you have organizational skills and detail orientation to progress in your career.
-Excellent written and verbal skills. Communication and relationship building internally and externally is key!
-Great problem-solving skills and leadership skills. We’re looking for idea people who can propel us to the next big thing.
-Priority setting ability. We’re a fast paced media company who needs employees who work best under pressure and don’t miss deadlines.
-Strong work ethic, initiative, and follow-through
