Advisor Digital Outreach & Promotion-OVS
This position reports directly to the Manager-Operations & Volunteer Technology. Directs the promotion of Create The Good as well as the digital outreach and promotion of volunteering overall at AARP. Develops and successfully executes strategic and operational plans to achieve the dashboard goal of engaging people 50+ in service and volunteerism opportunities. In collaboration with Office of Volunteerism & Service (OVS) staff, provides strategic marketing support to State Offices, Driver Safety, Experience Corps, Tax Aide and other volunteer efforts across the Association in their efforts to recruit volunteers through social media, email, and/or paid on-line search. Works across all of AARP’s units and functions, including all areas within AARP and its subsidiaries and affiliates to accomplish goals. Directs application of AARP’s resources to the strategic accomplishment of building, maintaining and engaging the CTG on-line network. Coordinates acquisition and activities of contingent labor and management of the ONES opportunities database.Requirements:Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with an emphasis in marketing and volunteer engagement efforts, and 6-8 years of experience in progressively responsible positions; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.Strong commitment to the AARP goals for volunteerism and service and expertise in the subject area.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups through coaching, leadership, and building trust.
