Special Projects Editor
Responsibilities:In consultation with the other editors, the Special Projects editor compiles the companies and innovators lists and helps commission stories for those two annual packages. (This accounts for 25% of the position’s time.) The Special Projects editor also works with the Business Reports editor to put together compelling data packages for the reports she produces (25% of the position’s time). The other half of the position’s time is devoted to finding, curating, and helping to produce stories for Insiders only. This includes but is not limited to From the Labs, a collection of important research breakthroughs happening around the world.Requirements:•The ability to be very well organized, work quickly, and juggle multiple projects with various deadlines and multiple supervisors. •A bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least 1-2 years of journalism experience. •Experience in science or technology journalism is helpful but not required. Same with magazine experience and/or data-driven reporting: these are a plus but not required.Job ID 10876.
